Jiaqi Liu
Jiaqi comes from a visual and communication design and comic drawing background. She believes that toys can be people’s best friends and they can be everything in our life. Her goal is to make toy designs for both kids and adults in a creative, positive and eco friendly way. On the other hand, Jiaqi loves marine animals a lot. Thus, she keeps studying and creating daily comics with different types of design works for marine creatures.

John Mawhorter
John grew up in Los Angeles, California and his research focuses on the relationship between play, body, and environment. After a previous degree in game design from University of California Santa Cruz he worked in the video game industry on virtual reality projects. Right now he is interested in sustainable design, toys, design research, and speculative design.

Karan Buasakdi
As a mechanical engineer student who don’t know that I’m passionate about design until my 2nd year of college. I, by myself and helps of friends, was trying to shift my path into the world of design little by little until I was able to get jobs in multiple design firm and help founded a start-up as a design engineer.
And now here I am. One big leap into the other beginning. I might become Designer or become something else. Who knows...

I was a CMF Designer. I specialize in creating combinations of colors, materials and finishes of products. Besides creating exciting CMF stories, material properties, manufacturing process, and researching in design trends are also part of my design process.
For now, I am seeking for more creation and possibilities in arts and design at Rhode Island School of Design, and pursuing my dream as a product designer.

Chetan Dusane
Chetan has an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and has a work experience of five years in the fields of Lighter-Than-Air Systems & UAV research & design.
He calls himself a hands-on experimentalist who relies heavily on multi-disciplinary research. His believes that Sustainability should be central to design practice rather than an end goal. Design for him is critical, catalyzing and provocative; a superpower with tons of responsibility.
His current research involves designing for information of the future, its role in governance and its interplay with human perception and understanding. His interests include healthcare, aerospace, agriculture, policy and systems design.

Parker Ives
Parker Is an interdisciplinary designer who has studied in the arts and design through many disciplines. His work addresses the audience through visual intrigue and physical interaction. His educational background includes the College of Charleston, Oregon College of Art and Craft, and he currently attends the Rhode Island School of Design where he is pursuing a masters in industrial design. His work experience consists of small consultancies as well as the office furniture manufacturer Steelcase. His Intuitive and hands on approach makes him a competent designer with a strong sense of form and material and process knowledge.
